Common questions

Does T-Gigs provide the insurance for Uber?+
No — and be careful with any company that says it does. Uber provides contingent coverage during periods 1, 2 and 3. On top of that you must carry your own commercial or rideshare-endorsed policy in your name, and we verify it before you get the keys. Ask us and we will point you to agents who specialize in rideshare policies.
How fast can I be driving?+
Your identity is checked electronically, so that part is quick. If you already have an active Uber account with 30+ trips in the last 30 days we waive our own background check too. The step that sets the pace is your insurance — we verify your own commercial policy with your insurer before you get the keys, and that has no exception.
What does $370 a week include?+
The car and its maintenance, tax included, with 1,400 miles a week. On top of that: a $100 refundable deposit, a flat delivery fee if you want the car brought to a Charlotte-area ZIP (shown when you hold your car), and $0.15 a mile past 1,400 in a week. No maintenance fee, no daily rate that quietly doubles on weekends.
What if I want to drive for DoorDash on the same car?+
Go ahead. Run every platform you want on it. We do not restrict which apps you use.
Do I need good credit?+
No. We do not run a credit check. We check your license, your driving record, and that your gig account is real and active.
